About WSE trading hours
The Warsaw Stock Exchange runs on Europe/Warsaw, currently UTC+2. Its regular session is 09:00–17:00 in Warsaw, 8 hours of continuous trading with no lunch break. The table above translates those hours into London and New York time so you can see exactly when the bell rings from wherever you follow the market.
Because the exchange keeps local time, its hours move when Warsaw changes its clocks for daylight saving, and since not every financial centre shifts on the same date, the gap between WSE and other exchanges wobbles by an hour for a few weeks each spring and autumn. The live panel at the top sidesteps all of that: it reads the current offset straight from the time-zone database, so OPEN, CLOSED and the countdown are always right to the second.
What is and is not modelled: the weekly schedule and the public holidays of Poland, so on a national holiday the panel says CLOSED and the countdown skips to the next real session rather than to a bell that will not ring. Not modelled: half-days, where the WSE opens and closes early — Christmas Eve is the usual one — and unscheduled halts, which are on nobody's calendar. On a half-day the session is drawn in full. For anything time-critical, confirm against the exchange's own calendar.

FAQ
What are the WSE trading hours?
09:00–17:00 Warsaw local time (UTC+2), Monday to Friday, 8 hours per trading day.
Is the WSE open right now?
The status panel above updates live from Warsaw's time zone and shows OPEN or CLOSED plus a countdown to the next bell. Public holidays in Poland are taken into account, so on those days it says CLOSED and counts down to the next real trading session rather than to a bell that will not ring.
What time zone does the WSE use?
Europe/Warsaw (UTC+2 right now), so its hours shift with daylight saving in Warsaw, the live panel always uses the current offset.
How many days a year is the WSE closed for holidays?
16 public holidays in Poland fall on a weekday over the next two calendar years and cost a trading day each. The full list, including the ones that land on a weekend and cost nothing, is on this page and can be added to your calendar.
