Because the exchange keeps local time, its hours move when Stockholm changes its clocks for daylight saving, and since not every financial centre shifts on the same date, the gap between Stockholm and other exchanges wobbles by an hour for a few weeks each spring and autumn. The live panel at the top sidesteps all of that: it reads the current offset straight from the time-zone database, so OPEN, CLOSED and the countdown are always right to the second.
